Dr Mariluz Bagnoud is a biogeochemist and a microalgae specialist (CAS in VLAG School WUR, 2016) working for Agroscope “Swiss Center of Excellence for Agricultural Research”. She has a PhD in Geosciences and Environment (UNIL, 2010).
She is the president of the 1st CH microalgae biotech association “SWALG” and has over 10 years’ experience in the area, not only in the applied research sector (EPFL-PSI, HES-SO & Agroscope) but also in industry (ENOIL Bioenergies & ESTEE SA).
Her international network concerning microalgae is broad, she represented Switzerland as a MC member in EU COST networks (EUROMICROPH, EUALGAE). Her expertise is mainly on wastewater treatment, energy from biomass, food tech, and life support systems.
